I don't want to sound bitter, it's not like I invested a lot into it but the next porcelain mark that I identify via Kovel's Book of Marks will be the first. While the bottom is painted black, the mark is visible when held to the light just right. It is a shield with the word "ROYAL" across the front and what looks like a crown on top. Should be easy enough, right? Not so much. This is a beautiful porcelain bowl that rings like a bell. Hand painted with a Moorish Art Deco design, it measures 4.5" tall and 9.75" wide. There is some wear to the paint on the base rim but this piece is free of chips, cracks, crazing or repair. If you recognize this beauty I'd love to hear from you.
